Turkey Time

Here's a little bit of the fun we had Sunday night as we made these yummy treats for our neighbors.

Santa, here comes the Bailey's!

I tried it this year, and this is how it urned out!

Thanksgiving! A Time For Gratitude!

So this coming week is Thanksgiving, and I have so many things to be grateful for. Here are just 20 of them................
1. Matthew, he is my most treasured gift! He makes me laugh all the time, and I love the father that he is to our children. He is also the best cook, and our children love that about him also.
2. Ashley, She is the daughter that brightens my day every day! I love her sweet spirit and I treasure the desire that she has to be so successful in all that she does.
3. Kelsey, I love the sweet pure daughter that she is. I love the beautiful notes that she leaves all over the house for everyone, and how she always is thinking of ways to serve everyone around her.
4. Andrew, I love how eager he is to explore. I love his hugs and kisses, and how he holds my hand when he walks. I love the way he loves Dayton.
5. Dayton, I love how he says, "Hi mom, or hi dad", when we walk in the door after a long day at work. I love how he loves to read about monkeys. And I love the way he loves Andrew!
6. I love my Grandparents (Grandpa and Grandma Cook and my Grandpa and Grandma Quigley), they have taught me so much over the years. They are so supportive in all that we do, and they love our children so unconditionally.
7. I love my dear friends that I have had over the years. They have inspired me to be better in every aspect of my life. They listen and they help me see how to be a better wife, mother, friend, and most important, how to be more Christ like in all that I do.
8. My brothers, I love them with all my heart. They make me laugh all the time.
9. My sisters, I am truly blessed to have them in my life. I love them so much.
10. Thomas S. Monsen, I can remember his stories in General Conference since when I was in High School. He was always my favorite to listen to, and I loved his stories. Now that he is the Prophet of our Church, I can truly say that I love him with all my heart. I have always loved him and I have learned so much from this man, and each time that he speaks I can feel of his love and his spirit!
11. My Aunts, I truly love them, and over the years they have taught me things I will never forget. They have taught me how to love, and how to be a better person. There are things that they have done for me that were life changing.
12. Make-up, the one material thing that I am truly thankful for. Some women have natural beauty, and I wasn't one of them. I am truly thankful for make-up and I'm sure my husband is to.
13. Ear doctors, I am truly thankful for mine, and his skills that have helped me thus far.
14. I love cinnamon bears, and I am indeed grateful to the person that made them.
15. My Savior, I can say so many things about why I am grateful for him. But the most important one to me is the peace I have in my heart every day, through him. I love him with all my heart. And I know that every day when I get on my knees, that I have the ultimate peace that only the Savior can give me. He is my Redeemer, and I know that he lives and loves me. And through him I will be with my Heavenly Father again.
16. Halloween, I love this Holiday, and yes I still love to dress up. In fact at work, my boss assigned me the job of decorating for all of the Holidays because I love to decorate and celebrate. And I must say, I was really grateful to have his credit card for all of the fun!
17. Christmas, this is my favorite Holiday! It's not the gift giving that makes it for me, it's the serving, and the caroling, and the happiness of everyone around you. I love the lights and the music, and the sugar cookies that look like Christmas trees. But most of all you hear people talk of Christ, and that is something that doesn't happen throughout the year. That is my goal, to talk more about Christ throughout the year!
18. Quicken, What can I say? I love the program!
19. Spring, when every thing is green, but not hot.
20. Music, It inspires my soul, and I love to sing!

TWILIGHT! TWILIGHT! TWILIGHT!

What can we say? We are big Twilighters, and we were so excited about going to see this movie. Ashley knows these books so well, and can tell you anything that you would want to know. Matt and I both loved the books also, although we can't tell you as much as Ashley can. So Friday night Ashley and I, along with my sister, Terri, and her daughter Hayley, and a few other friends went to see the movie, Twilight! We all loved the movie and dinner was a great time. I personally loved it so much, I went Saturday night with Matt. I would have went with Matt Saturday night anyway, because he does so much with the kids, especially Andrew and Dayton, so that the girls can always have a good time without them. Thank you Matt for all you do! Here's a picture Ashley took with her friends on Friday night. If you haven't read the books yet, go read them, and the movie wasn't as good as the books, but it was still GREAT!

Saturday Makeover

I have been trying so hard to take my children on mother-daughter/son dates by themselves. So recently I signed Ashley and I up to get a makeover. I thought it would be great for Ashley to learn some things, that I really don't have the knowledge to teach her. We went and had a great time. Ashley was definitely embarrassed to get her make-up done, so she opted out. She doesn't need make-up anyway. But she looked beautiful! Here's the before and after. I've learned that some of the things that I plan don't always turn out they way I would like. They usually turn out better! Besides the premiere of Twilight is only 2 days away!

My Little Monkeys!

Andrew and Dayton are obsessed with monkey's. I have no knowledge as to where or how this came about. Everynight before bed we have 3 to 4 monkey books that have to be read to avoid the drama that comes with bedtime without the books. I have come to love this about them, and I have to admit they make the cutest monkey noises I have ever heard. So recently we were playing a family game on the Wii, and a monkey appeared on one of the games. I can only describe what they did as pure joy! They would run back and forth between the kitchen and living room (which isn't very far) screaming and clapping. I guess you could say acting just like monkeys. I snapped this picture of Dayton during the moment, and I find myself trying to recreate the moment because it was so hilarious. I can't wait to take them to the zoo to see real monkeys!

Prince or Princess

Kelsey has been dressing Andrew and Dayton since they starting walking. I have always loved to watch her dress them up as princesses and play with them. I am truly thankful for the sister that she is to them!

Bailey Family Fall 2008

We'll we sure tried hard to get the family photo this year. We quickly realized that Dayton and Andrew would probably do better in a studio, instead of the park. Those of you who have been in our home, know that we still don't have pictures of the twins on our wall even though they are 2! I vow to get them up before Christmas, we will see if I get it done! They really do smile, just not for the camera!

Halloween 2008

Well, we are new to blogging and so we are going to give it a go. My friend Julie has me totally hooked after one night. We loved looking at all of our friends up in Moscow tonight. It was so awsome to see all of our friends and their families.
We had a great time on Halloween! We went to several trunk-or-treats, and then we went trick or treating with some old friends. It took a lot to get Ashley dressed up this year, she thinks she is to old, and to cool. But as the night progressed she sure had fun helping her little brothers. Kelsey was the cutest Dorothy. She has an orthodontic appliance in her mouth, and can't have a lot of the candy. (Which is a good thing), but she kept asking, "can I eat this"? the whole night. Believe it or not Andrew and Dayton still fit in the costumes they wore last year! It made for an easy Halloween this year just digging through the box of old costumes. Andrew and Dayton were so cute as we went trick-or-treating. They would get the candy and then put it in the other one's bucket. They were being so sweet, which rarely happens. It was a great time, and at the end of the night Matt took Andrew and Dayton home, while I took Ashley, Kelsey and their friends out for dinner. And a little side note, Matt was a real Halloween Bum this year. He made fun of me for dressing up (Because you know I am 31 years old, way to old to dress up)! So he wouldn't dress up at all, know wonder where Ashley gets it!
